Adidas F50 Trainers Advertisement

Language:
The genre of the Adidas ad is sport and on the left of the player, in blue, there are the words ‘every team needs a spark.’ connoting that the player who has the boots is the one who will be playing the best on the pitch. Therefore the people who want to impress their team mates will buy the shoes.

Institution:
The company behind this pair of F50s is Adidas; a well-known sport company that is endorsed by many footballers and music artists. This multinational institution made 14 million as their highest amount earned last year in 2013.

Audience:
The audience for this advert can be anyone, however, I think that the percentage of men who would watch this advert would about 80% and the female percentage would be 20% because football is described to be more of a masculine sport. The age range for this ad would probably be around 18-25 because 18 yr old people would have enough money to buy a few things for themselves and would probably have enough to buy the shoes in the ad.

Representation:

The way Adidas have chosen to represent the new shoes is to get a common but extremely good player to wear the trainers. This would specifically be pointed out to older people (mainly footballers), although they would make sizes for children and teens so that the company gets more money and the product becomes common.
