TV News Research

The British TV news programme that I've chosen to research is 'Sky News' because it's a very popular news programme. There are some different channels to view Sky News such as the channel Sky News itself or the Sky Sports channels 1-5. The show is usually streamed 24 hours a day and is globally viewed. The programme has many presenters such as Jeremy Thompson, Martin Stanford, Samantha Simmonds and Hannah Tallet. They've won several awards such as the N.I.R.N award (National and International Radio News award), a mobile apps reward and the multi-media award. The channel was launched in 1989 and is run by the British Sky Broadcasting group PLC. The channel's target audience ranges from teenagers to adults any age depending on what content they're showing. Here are some stories that have appeared on the news lately:

*A passenger plane was escorted to Manchester airport
*An Israeli siren sounds during Sky broadcast
*A digger topples a bus over during a terrorist attack    *A gigantic fire was started on Eastbourne pier
I think that they put the stories in this because of importance.
